Peas are one of the most popular members of the legume family. The main advantage of peas is their high protein content; it is not for nothing that legumes are considered an excellent alternative to meat, while, unlike meat, peas contain almost no fat. Peas are used primarily for soup, go well with meat and fish as a side dish, and are also suitable for making casseroles and pies.

COOKING METHOD:
Pour the peas into cold water in a 1: 4 ratio. Bring to a boil.
Season to taste.
Cook over low heat for 40-60 minutes.
